Why become a LLTC Sponsor?

An increasing number of advertisers are focusing their efforts on very specific demographics and lifestyle characteristics. Louisville is becoming a prime target for health and fitness activities and events. Two thousand seven marks the first of a five-year commitment to host Ironman Louisville, an international event that will attract more than 2,500 athletes.

The LLTC and its members can provide you with an exceptional promotional opportunity in exchange for your financial and/or equipment sponsorship. We spend money and influence others where to spend their money as well. A typical LLTC member participates in at least five triathlons, seven running or cycling races, and spends countless hours of training, while wearing club clothing.  Many of the members also coach and mentor other area athletes across several different sports. As a sponsor, your corporate logo and/or slogans would appear on LLTC member uniforms and on our web site. This translates into repeated exposure of your corporate logo by each member of the LLTC. Visibility between members and spectators translates into a significant number of impressions for the sponsor to potential consumers. In addition, members are dedicated to supporting and further promoting their sponsors.

Who is a Triathlete?

The average triathlete is between 25-54 years of age. Approximately 40 percent of these athletes are female. In general, triathletes are college educated, have an average household income of $90,000 and are most likely employed in professional/managerial occupations.

Triathletes come from many athletic backgrounds. The primary motivation for people to participate in triathlons is the desire for a new challenge. While many competitors consider themselves casual racers, there is a strong commitment among all triathletes to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle.

Triathletes provide the ultimate endorsement for advertisers who wish to express their commitment to an outdoor oriented lifestyle of sports, health and fitness. Triathletes are active year round, and many are involved with both cold and warm weather sports. Our consumer base includes a wide range of services because we participate in several other sports besides triathlons. Several members volunteer their time coaching a variety of youth sports. Similarly, the goal is to obtain sponsorship from a diverse range of companies, such as manufacturers and marketers of dietary supplies, fitness apparel, bicycles, eye wear, sunscreen and medical services. 

The bottom line is that triathletes are an ideal audience for health and fitness-related products and services. We represent a multimillion-dollar resource .

Marketing Opportunities

Your company can become a Corporate Sponsor of the LLTC in one of several ways:

Financial Support - There are various levels of financial support that your company can provide. It is important to note that LLTC members not only participate in local and regional events but also on the national and international level. The LLTC is a non-profit organization and your financial support can help defray Club costs for travel, training and insurance expenses. All of these items are an integral part of our Club's survival and club sponsorship of local events.

Equipment Sponsor - Your Company would agree to provide equipment, products, or services to our members in exchange for marketing exposure in the outdoor health, fitness and athletic market.

Club Discount Sponsor - Your Company would agree to provide discount on goods and/or services at point of sale. In return we will provide information on our website

Levels of Coporate Sponsorship for 2008

The level of financial support and/or product and equipment equivalent determines sponsorship categorization, with the four levels listed below.

GOLD SPONSOR: $1,000+

  • Top preference in placement of your company logo on club apparel, banners, and promotional printed material
  • Top preference for advertising space with your company logo on the LLTC website with a link to your website
  • Article of club apparel and club membership

SILVER SPONSOR: $501 - $999

  • Prominent placement of your company logo on training/racing goods & apparel.
  • Advertising space with your company logo on the LLTC website with a link to your website
  • Article of club apparel and club membership

BRONZE SPONSOR: $250 - $500

  • Placement of your company logo on training goods & apparel
  • Logo on the club website
  • Article of club apparel and club membership

HONORARY/DISCOUNT SPONSOR: $100 - $249

  • Logo on the club website

Supplemental marketing opportunities and sponsorship levels are welcomed and will be reviewed upon request.

The LLTC is currently preparing for the 2008 season and is in the process of gathering information on our racing apparel. We will be placing our apparel order in January, 2008, and therefore we need to finalize our sponsor list no later that March 1, 2007.
